Around Town

We were railroaded this past week with the stomach flu as one by one the bug got each one of us.  I had a couple cool day trips planned but we stayed really close to home instead, until we all felt better.  Here are some pics from the past couple weeks.

I love, love, love Hampstead Heath.  This is probably one of the things that will be hardest to leave here.  It's so old and natural and we find a new place to explore every day that we didn't know existed.  Here was a new area for us.
He wanted to sit on each log to pose for a picture for me :)

Another day, another log
Tree hugger!
The wild flowers in the Heath are gorgeous!

Nature walk

Tyler had the best time ever at a birthday party over the weekend at Gymboree for his friend Isabella.  She kissed him at the end and he literally melted, he was so excited.  Here he is playing parachute with his friend Quinn

This is how he rolls with dad in the Heath - he loves it when JJ lets go of the stroller and he goes barreling down the hill!

All smiles for our babysitter Alison

Tyler still just loves the statues at the zoo.  Now if only he would like the actual animals as much....
Sally the camel has two humps!

More statue fun.  He thinks every animal he can ride is a horse and runs over and says, "Neigh"
We are witnessing a feud with the local creperie and the pub that it sits on the property of (sorry for my reflection in the sign!).  Apparently the pub says that the creperie owes them money and they want to expand so they need the space back, and the creperie says that the pub is forcing them out of business.  There are petitions and signs posted every where.  One day I wanted a crepe and when I stopped this is the sign that was up.  Things are getting ugly!  Luckily it opened a couple hours later and I was able to get a dark chocolate and banana crepe that was dreamy.  I hope the pub and creperie can coexist because it sure is nice to have them in our backyard!
Telephone booth fun!
