Early Chirstmas in London!

We had a great weekend starting Christmas celebrations a little early.  London is already all jazzed up for Christmas which is nice because then we can celebrate a bit before we head back to the states.  Lots of pictures below!
It's Christmas in Covent Garden

More Covent Garden decorations

Big T was  mesmerized by the opera singer on the basement level.

We ate at Shake Shack in Covent Garden.  It lived up to the hype and was pretty delicious.  They are on the east coast of the US and they opened one in Covent Garden not too long ago.  It's like a classed up Wendy's.

Continuing in the tradition of American dining chains, we went to a Chipotle after JJ's soccer game last week.  We were pretty pumped but Tyler was devastated to be taken away from the soccer field so he wasn't as excited as we were.

The crepe stand by us announced that they were shutting down because of a long feud with the owner of the pub that they sit on the property of.  JJ and I really wanted to get one last crepe but the line was around the corner all weekend and we didn't have the patience to wait.

We asked our nanny Alison to take some pictures of us in front of Tower Bridge for our Christmas cards.  I knew Tyler would give Alison a big smile.  Here are some outtakes but you will have to wait for the Christmas cards to see the winner!  They turned out great and we had a beautiful day!
Little bit of pre-picture warm up and dancing

Horsing around with Alison - he loves her!

Where's the choo choo, guys?

JJ talked me into getting a small tree here so we can get in the Christmas spirit here in London.  We put all of our Christmas decorations in storage in Chicago, so we bought a small 4ft tree and some cheap ornaments to make it more festive here.  Tyler enjoyed all of it - here was his "fluffing up the tree dance."
Peekaboo!  A tree just Tyler's size!

Star goes right on top!  It took a couple days and some firm voices to keep Tyler from taking all the ornaments off the tree and throwing them across the room.  Now I see it is a blessing that we don't have our real ornaments and that these cheap ones aren't glass!

Kern Christmas in London calls for some hot cocoa in Tyler's new British mug!  As expected, it was a hit!

Spaghetti was good too!

Tyler and I got new mugs here in the British theme.  JJ just had a plain one :)
