One More Month!

I can't believe that our expat adventure will end in exactly 1 month.  For this month I'm going to try to blog every day.  I'm hoping that this will force me to do cool and creative things in London before we leave.  Here is a catch up of other events in the last few weeks and most of the pictures at the end of this post are from our day out to St. Paul's Cathedral on Sunday.  It was a great outing to central London!

This was the last playgroup that we hosted at our house.  The boys decided to get very close to the toys and hopped right into the toy chest.

"Daddy got new shirts!!!  Why are you always taking pictures of me!!!!"

At the zoo with Tyler's buddy Quinn on the tiger statue

Tyler has really been digging this music class on Thursdays.  Here he is sitting in the back row listening to the music teacher demonstrate a whistle.  I just thought it was so cute to see him sitting with the other kids.  Our boy is getting so big!

There was a Hampstead Summer Festival last weekend.  It was Tyler's first time on the Ferris wheel.

Once again Tyler was very, very serious on his motorcycle.  It was so funny to watch - all the other kids were laughing and smiling and having the time of their lives.  And our little guy was so serious and concentrating.

His bike had Michigan plates!!!

Tea cups with Daddy!

Big boy swings!

We found these dinosaur statues in the Heath.  They actually made great places to hide for hide and go seek.

We went to Covent Garden last week to get the computer fixed at the Apple Store.  Tyler enjoyed watching the street performers there.

This is one of our many recent "Lunches with Daddy."  I'm trying to get us down to JJ's work area at least every couple weeks to have lunch with JJ.  I know things will get crazy when we move and then the new baby will be here so I want to enjoy this time that we have together while I'm not working.  This lunch was particularly exciting to Tyler since we had lunch in the train station and could see the choo choos pulling in and out.

Tyler brought all of his "friends" to cuddle with me last Saturday morning.

Sunday morning we made it to St Paul's Cathedral to hear the bells chime.  They ring for about 1/2 an hour on Sundays.  Tyler loves to hear church bells and calls them "ding dings".  He loved it!  And I think St Paul's is one of the most beautiful places in London!

Tyler liked this game - jump off the posts in front of St. Paul's.

JJ was giving him more and more room!

I love this pic of my boys relaxing on the steps of St. Paul's

These are new pop-up benches all around London in honor of London's literary heritage.  There are 50 benches with scenes from various books around.  This bench is Jacqueline Wilson who I'm not familiar with but it's cool to see all these benches around town.

St. Paul's selfie!  Tyler was still watching the ding dings

The police horses came to visit!

I still am unsure if you are allowed to pet the horses, but JJ and Tyler did and Tyler thought it was very cool.
Scaling the fence at St. Paul's

Sorry - there are tons of these but I thought they came out so cool!

Taking a walk on the Bankside!

The City of London Festival is going on now and they have all these Rock the Boat guitar stations around.  Anyone can just walk up and play.  Tyler wanted to do a duet :)

Walking across Millennium Bridge

This was the picture for today.  Tyler is obsessed with motorcycles.  We stopped at this point on the sidewalk on our way to the Heath and totally dissected the motorcycles parked here.  We counted them, described their colors, found the exhaust pipes and mirrors, determined which was fastest/slowest, and picked out which one Tyler wanted.  We never made it to the Heath, the motorcycles were just too exciting.  At least there was this bike rack we could sit on for a rest.
